indeed; we only have netflix and hulu now 🙂
no need for cable, anymore

I believe these three have somehow obtained my address and given or 'sold' it to an 'online escort service'. My son said to relegate them to "Junk" status without reply. Any other ideas?
Send them dick pix and see how they respond.

Amazon are 'persona non grata' over here for paying minimum wage but no taxes, but we keep buying their crap though, I fear the revolution is still some way off.:'(

How can Amazon not pay taxes? That doesn't sound right.

Amazon faces probes after 'not paying a penny in company tax in Britain for two years' By Becky Barrow UPDATED: 7 April 2012

"The internet giant Amazon is being investigated amid fears it is not paying its full taxes in Britain. Amazon.co.uk, the British division of the firm, is under scrutiny by UK tax authorities for its affairs over a six-year period, beginning in 2004. The admission by its American parent Amazon.com is a major embarrassment for a company that has come to dominate many Britons’ spending habits since it was launched in 1998.

The company have allegedly not paid any corporation tax between 2010 and 2011 The company have allegedly not paid any corporation tax between 2010 and 2011 Buried in a submission to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a federal regulatory agency, it admits to being ‘under examination, or may be subject to examination’ in a long list of countries including Britain, France, Germany, Japan and Luxembourg. Amazon.co.uk’s latest accounts reveal that it did not pay a single penny of British corporation tax in either 2010 or 2011.... " (more)

Though all are welcome, their apparent lack of thoughtfulness for the rights
and privacy of others probably wouldn't cut it in "Camelot Oasis in Space".

In the US, sales taxes are collected by states. State sales taxes have traditionally been collected from retailers that have a brick and mortar presence in the state, for purchases made from them in that state, and then retailers charge the customer the amount, calling it sales tax, to recover it. This is more efficient than the customer forwarding money to the state. Amazon, without a B and M presence in a state, say, California, would UPS a purchase to the customer from, say, New York, without either state even being aware of it. They claimed the law allowed it and that having no presence, they didn't create any burden on the state that would call for taxes. It does give Amazon a pricing advantage over B and M retailers. The laws are changing and now Amazon collects and pays sales taxes for sales in and into CA.

Never, eve,r reply to spam. It confirms to them that you actually exist. Your son is correct about the emails. You can also set up an email rule or filter that deletes these emails before you get to see them (ie if they contain certain words and/or certain portions of the from adress, subject line are the same).

As for FB I would think you can block these people (and report them at the same time if they've been posting or sending pornographic material or harassing you). Also you should (I think) be able to set your privacy settings so that your account is only visible to friends or friends of friends, and/or people cannot follow you. Find a good online guide and follow the advice therein.

Hi, Andy. You'll be quite pleased to learn that "Camelot Oasis in Space"
already has 15 members, 7 threads and 2 games in progress and one day old
(same DOB as the new Male Heir to the British Crown).

Once he's named, I may contact William & Kate's Official Secretary of Public Affairs
to register a personalized admin invitation for the future king to join our private club
when he becomes a robust boy of 13. That is, if we have room. Thanks for the idea.

Note: Smart Money in the London Wagering Circles and Pubs may do the maths
and conclude that our "Camelot" theme will hold distinct appeal. (gb)
