Woodgie, since day one, animals (as much as we love them individually as our household pets and 'almost family members'😉 have been incorporated

by reason of divine design as an integral component of the pyramidal food/human life support chain. Bleeding heart empathy is understandable.

🙂
That makes it ok then.

Edit: I understand what you are saying (even the insult), did you ever think slavery would be abolished or the Berlin wall would come down, your so highly intellectual you logic is actually primitive.
Bleeding hearts always save the day, bit like your patriotism.

We see through a glass darkly as finite creatures. Only the infinite

wisdom of the creator sees clearly, sees it steady and sees it whole.

As above.

Edit: How can you love when you have no heart.

Love is a relaxed mental attitude... driven by virtue, nobility, loyalty, trust, forgiveness, patience and understanding. Because it's noble

it's durable, reliable, precise and hard. Emotions are wonderful. Their primary job is to appreciate, since they have no capacity to think.

Luckily, I was educated by people with morals and intellect who knew that if you live with a lie long enough it becomes the truth, by the sounds of it your moral compass was broken a long time ago.

As for love, you know very little about it or you would know there is nothing relaxed about love when you hold the hand of someone dear who is about to die before their time.

Hey Clarence, how come GB always disappears when the conversation starts getting interesting?

He invites us to join him in conversation with the multitude of threads he creates, but when he gets a relatively serious reply, he abandons them.

Am I missing the point here?

Regards

Respect your opinion, Woodgie, as always.

Adversity, disaster, suffering, loss and grief are normal experiences of life. Tranquilty of spirit and an anchored soul sustain in the midst of it.

Marriage is not designed for happiness but for virtue, which is the basis of happiness. Sex is one of many expressions of marital happiness.

Serious question, have you always felt this way or was it something that was taught to you?

The people (thugs) I have met that have been involved in animal cruelty and then have to explain themselves (most don't like doing it voluntarily), don't really see animals as living things, but more of object that is completely detached from reality for them to use. I have witnessed the same approach from some of my colleagues who should be caring for the animals in their charge.
The only reason I ask is, you use the words, but I get the feeling you don't really believe the meaning in them.

I apologise if the above sounds insulting, that is not my intention.
