4. SimCity 2000

5. Mortal Kombat (or Street Fighter Alpha 2, whichever you prefer).

I was going to put Speedball 2 in this list until I remembered just how varied the SNES was in terms of games.
It's not an SNES list w/o Super Metroid.

You mean to say it's not a Swiss Gambit SNES list without Super Metroid. 🙂

The SNES list was the toughest because there were so many good games for that system.

SwissGambit does not have his own list, since back then it took him weeks to save up enough money to buy a single game. He is thus in no position to comparatively rate all the games available for the system.

Speedball

Turrican
Turrican 2 was an amazing game, as too was Speedball 2.

And whilst on the subject of sequels, Rick Dangerous 2!

My favourites based on how much time was spent playing them:

1. Final Fantasy 3 (SNES)
2. Super Mario World (SNES)
3. Chrono Trigger (SNES)
4. Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
5. Secret of Mana (SNES)
Agree with 2 and 5 wholeheartedly, would include Zelda : Link to the Past (which I am going to download on to my Wii), liked 4, but never played 1 and 3!

I know. Back then I was glued to the TV screen, yes, but my imagination was working at its full because I had to picture all the detail. And I mean: ALL, lulz
