I get my product reviews like I get my news; via multiple sources.
I’ve used Which for a few electrical appliances. They give lots of useful details and pros & cons. I recently bought a second dehumidifier; one for use upstairs and one downstairs. They’re cheaper to run to dry laundry than my tumble drier and additionally help reduce my house humidity during weeks of rain.

I guess it depends on what you're using the olive oil for. Cooking or massage?

I sometimes look at trustpilot.com for customer reviews.

The only olive anything I use are the actual olives and those I use in my martinis.πŸΈπŸ˜²πŸ‘πŸ˜

I love olives but I’ve never tried a proper Martini? I’ve never heard anyone ordering one either, here in Wales in my whole life?

I will admit they are an acquired taste but once you’ve acquired that taste…well.πŸΈπŸ‘

I replace friends like pullovers.
Does that mean you wash them by hand before you hang them out to dry?

Good to know about Which.

It was only in the past year or so that I learned people over there and in other countries air-dry their laundry instead of using tumble driers as I think most in the USA now do. (I do still remember my late Mom pinning laundry to the clothesline in our back yard in Michigan in the early sixties, though.)

Recently I have also thought of adopting that practice to reduce my energy bill, so maybe the electric tumbler for towels and blankets, and air-drying for everything else.

It's also relatively humid where I live, so it's good to have a dehumidifier. Maybe I should get another one or two for the sake of the books.

You end up stashing litres of vodka in the freezer and just waving the vermouth and the olive over the bottle?

There was a James Bond movie with Daniel Craig - Casino Royale I believe - involved a poker game for millions

In the middle of a game Bond orders a Martini and specifies the measure of each component - anyone know the scene / quote the measures?

It will kill my liver but I would love to try one

First: I think Daniel Craig was a great Bond (those ice-blue eyes!) who had the misfortune to play in a bunch of crappy, sick, cruel, and generally humorless Bond movies.

As for your question: in Casino Royale, I think he requests that the vermouth just be waved over the vodka.

And as for his catchphrase re: martinis, I think the correct order must (or should) be "stirred, not shaken" -- i.e., stirred to action, not shaken psychologically.

I gather @Suzianne has read a lot of Ian Fleming -- maybe she could comment on this topic?

Thank you but: he ordered specific measures of various gin/vodka etc measures - it was not one of his usual vodka martinis shaken not stirred

What do you use?

Yesterday I watched a youtube video on the best extra virgin olive oils which rated the one I buy as 9th / 10.
Today I checked the Which Report which listed it as the best value in supermarkets 😲
Sorry about my contribution to the topic drift! Back on track:

Generally I just look at Amazon customer reviews. For loan offers I check Trustpilot. For music-production software I check KVRaudio and VI-Control.

As for olive oil, I don't use it for frying and usually only add it at the end for flavor, so I always prefer full-flavor oil, usually either Bertolli or Melina.

(On a side-note, I also prefer full-flavored peanut oil, which I buy at a local Asian grocery store.)

Oh, but over here gin and vodka is called a Martian, not a Martini. πŸ˜‰
