i'm trying to compare the difference between the prices of going to college/university in america and the uk/ireland but america is so big and i'm having trouble finding the info i want.

does anyone know of a decent site that would give me a rough idea of the costs of going to college in the states?

problem with that site is that i don't know the names of the colleges that i want to compare prices with.

if you know of a site that list the colleges of each state it would be pretty helpful.

If you go to the site and choose a state, it will list all of the colleges in that state.

you're right, for some of hte larger states, like New York.

the only other site I've ever used is savingforcollege.com, but that doesn't have a list of costs...I don't think.

I just tried Montana, it listed all the schools there. I'll go try California and New York.

California worked, New York said there were more than 150 schools listed. So that must be the error message you are gettting. Try some other states. Florida, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon etc.

I think you'll get a good representation of the costs. I suspect there will be quite a variance in the pricing. Private schools versus universities and such.

massachussetts worked.

california worked.

either NY has the most colleges, the only state with more than 150, or htere is a glitch.

I think the cutoff line is 150 Red. Although, NY is probably the only state that would have that many. Does it let you break it into upper NY etc?

it would be easier if i had a list of the colleges that did the courses i'm interested in.

that would be pretty much impossible though?
