I have always heard it as up up down down left right left right b a start as well.....and as a side note, it was called the Konami code after the company that made the games that the code worked for......I loved the old NES.......some of those games were better than the games of today just for pure fun of play.....

You had to be almost perfect to get through even the second level and it got much much worse from there.
