Don't feel bad about "tolerize". I used to think that "clapter" was a word, until one of my friends was kind enough to call me a moron and grab a dictionary.

When you're in a room, and a lot of people are laughing, you say "do you hear that laughter?"

And so, reversely, if you hear a lot of people who are clapping, you say "do you hear that clapter?"

Makes sense, right? Right?

Well, actually, the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution....but we won't split hairs. 🙂

Of course there are those who would contend that English is a second language for Scots....😲
Here's an example of the language which is apparently spoken in Scotland:

On the marijuana subject, the Netherlands hasn't just got to worry about the EU; there's also these people to deal with:

http://www.incb.org/incb/index.html

Such is the international consensus on the evils of narcotics that the Netherlands would be reneging on some of its United Nations commitments if it legalised marijuana; they'd have to withdraw from the various international drug conventions, and you imagine what kind of a fuss that would cause. I wouldn't put it past the US, for example, to impose sanctions on a country which left the drug conventions.
