I know that I pitched out of this, but I have to ask

What do you think asking Roma to repeat this training drill is achieving?

He could, for all you know, be a 65 year old, 300 lb gentleman. ( sorry, Roma!)

Its like me saying WWE wrestling is fixed (really??!!!), and you saying, OK, take on The Undertaker.
If he actually gave it an honest effort, he would have seen first hand the kind of workout football players get.

I forgot to mention in line with USA football training
I sprinted while wearing a big coat stuffed with pillows and wearing a crash helmet oh and a wee towel tied to my arse to wipe my hands on

All very well.

Do you assume Rugby Union and League players train in the local pizza takeaway?

They are pro athletes, and partake in high impact sport. For all you or I know, the rugby players also do this sprint/rest training. Clearly in this internet age, if it works, coaches will poach it.

It is a circular argument. I think asking posters on the thread to do the same drills as pro athletes is pointless.

As is posting incorrect physics formula.

Just my opinion.

Continue.

I had high school kids do that workout. It is just the style of workout you do in football.

Hi Roma

Nowadays my 'training' is potting the colours with the white where I want to put it! A 27 break

I manage it roughly 50/50

I am getting worse at snooker
Can't pot a colour nowadays.
Maybe if I remove padding and crash helmet I might get on better

I hope you are a teacher or run a club
Or do you kidnap kids and make them do sprints?

Like chess?
I take it you do stand up comedy

There is plenty points scored because the game is easy. Just have to throw the ball forward for someone to catch it.

Why even call it a touch down when the ball is not touched down ?
So your defense of soccer being so uneventful is that it's harder?

Here's a description of every soccer game ever played: Guy kicks ball, then another guy kicks ball. Once in a while, ball goes past a line.

Actually, many games end in a score of 0-0. Guess I was wrong then. Soccer can be even more boring than that.

At least it makes moree sense that chess has a stronger following in places like the UK.

I like to watch the the action only edition of NFL. It's where the game is edited to only the plays of the match with all the rest breaks between plays, swapping teams, swanning around like an idiot because you've made a tackle etc cut out. They're pretty good they run for between 4 and 5 minutes per game. You can watch every play of every game in less than 90 minutes.
