That would defeat the purpose of the vacation feature.

28 days? Pfffft. In 1967 I went on, what was supposed to be a 3 week vacation, that turned into a 14 month expedition. As RHP "wasn't" then I didn't need to put up a flag, but I did have to contact my employer telling them that I'd retired. 😲

No. 😠 That was just a practice round for when my "real" retirement came around 7 years ago.

The only way I can think of is to PM them and ask them to take their vacation flag down.

Ok this has been brought up several times. (Just look up the site Ideas Forum).

vacations are part of the system and thus you have to live with it.

The checkmate will still be there when the player will return. so why the hurry?

The only proposal regarding vacation exceptions I could agree to would be the one where hardcore tournaments wouldn't allow vacation.

So you would not allow someone taking a vacation to go into hardcore tournaments.
They would have to plan their vacation around the hardcore tournament. Doesn't sound logical to me. It would be impossible to plan as you wouldn't know how long the hardcore tournament would last just for starters.
