Mick 🙂
How long ago was that? I may have picked up the rulebook for it somewhere along the line! 😛

Don't you mean "what I meant" sorry if I'm being picky. Warhammer did come out after LOTR and you can buy LOTR Warhammer models. Aragorn, Legolas etc.

So how does it work? How do they fight?
Does it work like Magic, they have different attributes and 'powers' and you decide what to do, and then your opponent counters?
Something like that?

well I think Magic is a card game, Warhammer uses little models of people/monsters/aliens/elfs/darfs and you play by the roll of a die, I dont know all the rules but you can see more about it here http://games-workshop.com/

Yeah I know, I have some Magic cards myself, and I understand that they're little models.
What I wanna know is - what happens after the die has been rolled? You know, what are the basic rules of the game? Does every piece have attack/defence as in Magic?
It sounds pretty interesting, but I don't think it's played at all in South Africa.

I'm sorry for getting off topic for a second, but I am too curios to resist. Have any of you warhammer players ever played dragon dice? It sounds very similar, except that in dragon dice the dice ARE the characters.

No, is it like the Dungeons and Dragons game that they just brought out? 😛

You probably heard of Lord of the Rings, by Tolkien, Warhammer is based on it...there is also some sort of Warhammer/LotR game: Age of Wonders...it's a turn-based strategy game where you can play with 12 races:Humans, Azracs, Lizards, Frostlings, Elves, Halflings, Dwarves, Highmen, Dark-Elves, Orcs, Godblins and Undead. Your race is led by a hero, that can cast spells. Age of Wonders I has very simple graphics...but a year ago or something Age of Wonders II came out, this game combines terrific gameplay with beautiful graphics! I have them both and are addicted to them!😏

I never heard of Age of Wonders, but Games Workshop (the company that owns Warhammer) has a LOTR version of warhammer called: Lord of the Rings
