@lemondrop saidLack of fear hasn't led to the extinction of my postman. (Except on Tuesdays).
that could lead to their extinction
@ghost-of-a-duke saidNow that is a silly answer!........LOL.......
Lack of fear hasn't led to the extinction of my postman. (Except on Tuesdays).
@ghost-of-a-duke saidpostmen haven't been around that long

@lemondrop saidThere already aren't as many around in my neck of the woods as there once were, and not delivery door to to door. Just a community mail box for everyone to go to get their mail. Only packages are actually delivered now. E-mail is replacing mail now, many jobs have been cut. I agree after some time and I don't believe it will take a 100 years, the mail will be no more as it is now.
postmen haven't been around that long
in a hundred years or so they too will become extinct
replaced by robots and drones

@torunn saidI found this:
The messages we send on our cellphones. We just say SMS, I don't know what it stands for.
@very-rusty saidAn old service, still pretty new to me. I'm very slow with technology.
I found this:
Short Message Service
SMS stands for Short Message Service. Invented in the 1980s and defined in the 1985 GSM standards, it is one of the oldest texting technologies. It is also the most widespread and frequently used. MMS stands for Multimedia Messaging Service.
