@the-gravedigger saidHow did England do in the 94 World Cup? I forget.
When Jack Charlton was manager of Ireland he took the eligibility rules to a new level.
It got to the stage where you were eligible to play for Ireland if you knew somebody who had once owned an Irish Wolf Hound.
@badradger saidI'm in a sweep at work and I've got England to win 3-2. 😏
I have had a Tenner on Italy winning 1-0.....so its a win win situation for me.
@the-gravedigger saidI want england to win, not bothered about a tenner.

@badradger saidA tenner isn't showing much confidence in the Team.

@very-rusty saidEngland has yet to win the European Championship.
I am naïve when it comes to the game. When has England last won it all?

And wouldn't it be fitting after the Brexit?

@ponderable saidThanks Pondy,

Yes, I believe it would be fitting after the Brexit, which I didn't quite understand either.
I was told when I asked someone about it, that it was long and complicated to explain.

@very-rusty saidIt is quite simple: the UK joined the EU to anger de Gaulle who did everything to keep them out. Now when everyone liked them to stay in they have to be contrary and leave.
Thanks Pondy,
