You don't offer much before asking for advice.
I don't know what exactly you are going to be as an "MC". In fact, I don't think that I have ever been to a wedding where someone was an MC.
I have been to weddings with bands and/or DJ's. I have seen the best men toast to the couple. BUT, neither of these were MC's per se - though they may have acted as MC's at some points during the ceremonies.
Anyway, without knowing anything about the couple, my advice would be to keep anything you do light - like an American game show host. Smile and say things with zest. You will sound and feel cheesy but most people expect that at weddings.
Also, don't mention death, the great unknown, or anything about it. I kid you not that I went to a wedding where the best man's toast was all about death and it really killed the mood.
