......on a quite superb performance to take out Barcelona in probably the best tie te Champions League has seen for some years.

How good would it have been for that to be have been the final, with possibly the best two attacking teams in the competition going head to head and both trying to rack up the goals.

Superb game.

....and yes, somewhat of a constrast to the dire rubbish I had to endure last night at Man City v Bolton.

Good luck to Arsenal and Liverpool tomorrow night - fly that flag and do what you can to get through !!!!

Just like watching Derby 😉

Carvalho's role in the winner must not be underestimated...

Nevertheless well done Chelsea for providing much needed entertainment - much better than the ManUre option on ITV2.

Hope they make the final.

Was a nice game, yes. Hopefully PSV will do nicely too tomorrow.

If Ferguson cares for United, he should resign in the Summer. Not that I don't appreciate everything he's done for the club, but the team has gone stale in the last couple of years. We need a new man at the helm and tbh I don't think that Quieroz is the man for the job if that's the type of football we produce with him as coach. Why to hell couldn't we control the ball, pass 10 yards or shoot?

It was painful, especially after Giggs went off when we lost all shape.

Yes well done Chelsea, reaching the quarter finals against the odds of only having as much money as every other team in Europe put together

Good attacking game all round, and Terry led well. But in particular, thank the keeper! A couple of quite OUTSTANDING saves, at critical times too.

Ok, superb game, just ONE thing that annoyed me. Frank Lampard, 3 on 2... 4 mins left in the game ... takes the ball to the corner to waste time. Because of that, Barcelona eventually gets a penalty close to Chelsea's goal. Is winning so important that you have to waste the 4 time towards the end of an excelent match, just to ensure a slighly better chance of winning ?

Anyway, off to watch Arsenal tomorrow night at Highbury. Hopefully there won't be a riot should they lose 🙂

agreed - surely a team of Chelsea's quality could be confident to score in a 3 on 2 and put the game beyond doubt. Made for a nervous free kick!

Don't think Van Nistelrooy should have played. Scored plenty of goals in his absence, and none since he came back - not even against 10 man Palace. Poor. Martin O'Neill it is then...

van should not have played & united were very careless in possession against an excellent team...
