Hehe. So I'm not the only one who notices these things. I like your style mikelom.

I had a Black Angus Burger for dinner about 4 hours ago, with Ceaser Salad. I'm hungry again so having a bowl of Cheerios now so I don't wake up hungry in the middle of the night.

If you don't like bitter coffee, ask for New Guinea or Costa Rican (they're a different less-bitter bean, more expensive here though). New Guinea Gold instant coffee is almost tasteless though, the DE Moccona is about right.

It's 9am here and I've just had a poached egg and 2 slices of wholemeal bread toasted. And a large mug of tea 😏
Sunday morning and having the time to relax over a cooked breakfast is wonderful. I will be going for a walk to the newsagents soon, then back to read the paper and have another cuppa.

Substitute Black Sheep for Miller and you'd be about right.

It's noon here. All preparations are done. We are drinking a glass of Cava (Codorniu, Non plus ultra).
The first course will be steamed filet of halibot on a bed of watercrest and topped with a spicy cold sauce of romero pepper. We will drink a glass of German white wine (Ruppertsberger Tokay Pinot Gris Trocken, 2007).
The main course will be roasted easter lamb with garlic and rosemary, green beans and baked slices of red young potatoes. No sauce (for the fat). We will drink a glass of Red Burgundy (Marsannay 2005, Louis Latour).
If we are hungry enough the dessert will be baked mango & banana with ice cream.

Two breasts of chicken? Seems a bit much, unless of course you're a 16 year old with "hole in your leg". It's 7:45 a.m. here now and I've just had a cup of "perked Tim Hortons" coffee and a piece of wholewheat toast with peanut butter. Mmmmmmm.

At Seniorsville Manor, Somewhere, USA, the exquisite fare served this fine

Sunday morning, to the chess ward, was a slice of humble pie with a wedge

of extra sharp cheddar and cambric tea, along with the usual medications.

Im getting there myself. At 52 I have to watch my cholesterol so cheese, eggs, meat have to be in small doses. This morning I had 2 cups of fresh ground and brewed Ethopian coffee, Sada Roti and Tomatoes Choka. Sada Roti is like flat bread but without the yeast so its firmer. Tomatoes Choka is roasted crushed tomatoes seasoned with culantro, garlic and habanero peppers.

One influence on how bitter coffee is how much it is roasted ... the darker the roast the more bitter. Dark roasted beans appear to be more popular and it produces a rich brown/black coffee. Lighter roasted beans produce a brown and tastier (in my opinion) coffee with much less bitterness. The packaging will tell you whether its dark or light roasted.

Now that sounds pretty darn good. Maybe I'll show the dietitian supervisor your post on

Wednesday. That's the day she takes special requests for our Saturday evening meal.

My dad says at 23 I am going to have to watch what I eat. Unfortunately. But I have a while to go, so I must savor while I can. By the way, SAda Roti with Tomatoes Choka looks like a 'must' on my list of things I need to eat sometime soon.
