"Boiling a Frog" by Christopher Brookmyre. I enjoyed the unsinkable rubber ducks, so I read another by him.

I am right now reading a sci fi series from Eric Brown, "Weird space", Devils Nebula, Satan's reach, and the third, The Baba Yaga. The first two were written by Brown, the third by Brown and his daughter Una McCormack.

Baba Yaga is a slavic witch tale:

Very nice, but I never heard of it. Is he a new or new-ish writer?

Right now I'm nearing the end of Leviathan Wakes, Book One of the Expanse series, by James S.A. Corey. I'll let you know if I recommend it when I get into Book Two.

Who are you trying to impress, people? Be truthful, all of you
are reading either the back of the cereal box or a sticky copy of

Finished that one and can recommend the book.

Started Dahlquist: Dark Volume, the second volume of a book I read some years ago.
