We agreed on many, important points.
I always marveled at the intensity of animosity leveled at him.
But I also discovered some of his foibles which showed disregard and disrespect toward others on this site which he otherwise loved so very much.
Bob is always about the exchange.
He knew that he profited from it, even if it appeared to have him on the losing end.
Bob loves people.
Bob loves ideas.
Bob loves memory.
Bob loves romance.
Bob loves the clarity and harmony of thought which comes when our ideas agree with reality.
Bob loves a punch in the mouth.
Bob loves delivering the same, although he prefers doing so with discretion.
Bob loves word play and nuance, especially when it causes the mind to think. Again.
Bob loves his mom.
Bob loves his wife.
Bob loves his kids, his grandkids.
Most of all, Bob loves his God.
I'd say that whether Bob always did right by us, or even sometimes felt wronged by him, we're all better off having known Bob.
