I think it shows the moment 13 years ago that "Andy" was beamed down from the mother ship. For these last 13 years, "Andy" has been using RHP as a ruse, pretending to be a typical Scot of at best modest chess ability, but in fact has been working behind the scenes to add Earth to his (or "it's"😉 galactic empire.

After 13 years on this planet he is horrified by what he has seen and wants no part of it.
He has begged the Mother Ship to come and get him, but he is now viewed as contaminated, and has been abandoned. Destined to remain here until the whole shooting match goes up in smoke.
