Ok, I was at lunch at a local restaurant the other day, and an older couple came in (60's?). The both had some sort of device in their ears. It was very space age looking: blue and grey. It looked very much like some sort of device you might see on Star Trek. It would flash a blue light occassionally. I assumed at first that one of them might be deaf and this helped him hear. But they didn't behave as though either was deaf.
After a while one of them took the thingy off.
Does anyone have any idea what this might have been?

Secure wireless connection to a suitable mobile phone up to 10 metres away.
From the description, probably a Jabra BT200.
Available in any mobile phone shop or website for around £30.
Thats about $55, but you guys over the pond get everything techie a lot cheaper than we do, so you can probably just change the £ for a $ and be near the mark.

Why would both people be wearing it?
There was no mouth piece either
They were in a restuarant and dont wanna shout at each other - so they thought, what the heck lets put on our blue tooth devices and phone each other, then no one can hear what the old guy is saying to his lover(wife, girlfriend etc). That way they can have phone sex - wouldnt that be nice at their age???? 🙂
