Ghosts are much scarier than Slashers. Often it is what your mind sees rather than what your eyes see that scares the hell out of you.
The Evil Dead - Even though it was rather crappy, left me shaking like jelly.
The Legend of Hell House - One of the very best.
The Others - So well done, gave me goose bumps.
The Poltegeist - had its moments, as did the Exorcist, although more shocking than scary.
And recently the Ring managed to raise the hackles.
But my favourite is: The Sixth Sense. Not just scary, but a great story, well told, with superb acting and atmosphere. Almost the perfect movie.

Well, I haven't seen DETP since my second-grade teacher showed it (and I was pretty scared, too), but as I recall it involves a bunch of sickenly friendly philistines having to think about why it's bad to destroy art. I think the analogy to certain RHP points of view is pretty clear.

While I'm aware that DETP did not literally contain the SSS, it did contain a raving lunatic with a cookie fetish destroying a picture; if you actually wish to discuss this in some sense other than the tongue-in-cheek way in which it was intended, please use a literal definition of the word 'analogy'.
I am an active poster on that forum; that forum is not designed to bash RHP. In particular, I use it to practice my Hrothgarian.

Face it. You have been seen for what you are and what your doing. I would think after all that transpired you would want to tread carefully but apparently you could care less.
