This sounds like it might be your variation on Brillat-Savarin:
"Tell me what you drink and I'll tell you what you are." ๐Ÿ˜‰

For a dark beer: Guinness Draft Stout (the one with the little ping-pong ball, about 4.2% ABV)

For a Pilsnery beer: Kirin Ichiban (5% ABV, Midnight Diner connection)

Have at me, sir.

On one hand malt and hops syrup, on the other grain tea.
You sir are a man of contrasts.

BTW This is my version of one of those stupid FB posts, you know
Pick your birth month and we'll tell you what kind of a potato you are etc etc.

Ommegang Abbey Ale

But a close second is Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout

Huh. I thought it might be some kind of peanut-butter beer.

Too many carbs/calories. I’d be a whale if I drank that.

Some years ago when I could get it, I liked St. Peter's English ale. Herbaceous with a hint of honey.
