I'm not sure; there are too many, but I suspect JS Bach or Chopin wrote it.

My favourite piece of Chopin is Serge Gainsbourg's Lemon Incest.

The second song on the original soundtrack of Superman: the movie.
It's very short, but oh so great.

Then the triumph march of Aida.

Then that chanting song you often here in horror films.

I'm not very good with names. If someone knows the names, please tell, then I can download them.

EDIT: "you often here..."
Deary, deary me....Bowmann will have a field day...

Difficult to choose one, but I think I would go for J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion.

I have to stop humming that when I witness the silly 'escaping thong' phenomenon.

Actually, it might be 'Kyrie' from Mozart's 'Great Mass in C Minor', or Bach's 'Musical Offering', or Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat.

It seems that my preference changes as I change CD's. Now it's Mahlers' fifth for the next hour.

That's the song that immediately sprang to mind when I saw the title of the thread.
