A number is still a word, even when you write it with digits.

numbers are what they are: numbers. if they were words we'd call them words. words are also
what they are: letters. numbers are also letters in some forms, but never words. words and
letters are first cousins, though sometimes can be married. numbers can never be married,
unless to another number, but they're still not words. words, though, can be numbers. but
letters can't be numbers, unless in number form.

Four is two times two, in so many words.

A number is a number, you see a symbol (digit)

You convert that to a word in your head.

Five is a word

when I write 5, in your head you say our word for this digit.

No1 will always be 'No One' to me. 😛

Try getting your header correct every so often, you got 5 minutes to look it over you know.

five is totally not a word. it is absolutely a number. whether it's letters, well, that's debatable.
my head converts nothing. it only see the facts. when i say the word 5, i'm really only saying
a number, because numbers and words are of no relation, unless you bring parentheses into the
discussion, then you can maybe argue a relation. but parentheses are not numbers like they are
words. 5 in my head is a number, because 5 is a number.

try this one on for size: XL hat.

This is Five

". . . . ."

This is the digit "5"

This is how you spell the word that we easily understand "Five"

Five is the word. If you didn't convert to a word your stuck with the quantity:

". . . . ."

This is a hand.

A hand is not a word.

Hand IS a word, it is the word we assigned to it so we could talk about it.

Don't make me use it.
