@very-rusty saidOnly you have spoken about anybody being scared. Sensible people are mindful of the risk of theft and take precautions, especially somewhere like Mcdonalds.
Actually you always have to be aware of where you are and your surroundings. Don't have to be scared about it though, just careful. 😉

@ghost-of-a-duke saidEspecially when queueing for buses and trams you have to look out for pickpockets and thieves.

@divegeester saidThat was to be my response as well, but then I saw the correct one, "library".
Lying on a hospital operating table ?
@torunn saidMore recently it seems to be thieves on mopeds who snatch your mobile and whiz off with it.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidTrue, they snatch your handbag or purse if you carry it on the wrong side.

Rusty, of course, would chase them down, no problem. (He jogs apparently every day and has politicans as friends).
@torunn saidI observed it happen once, but did so from a bus, so wasn't much help.

@wolfe63 saidWhy would a library be “without windows”?

I like this type of thread. Please carry it forward. 😊
@divegeester saidCould it be because they cover the walls with bookshelves?
Why would a library be “without windows”?
@divegeester saidThe thread was based on a factual location, and the library I was in at the time did indeed have no windows.
Why would a library be “without windows”?
@torunn saidBut every library I’ve ever been in had windows.
Could it be because they cover the walls with bookshelves?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI hang my purse around my neck, so if anything like that should happen, I would be decapitated.
I observed it happen once, but did so from a bus, so wasn't much help.
@torunn saidNo windows on the ground floor. (Where I was using the computer).
Could it be because they cover the walls with bookshelves?
@divegeester saidGet yourself to Edmonton Green sir. (leave your valuables at home).
But every library I’ve ever been in had windows.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidHaha.
Get yourself to Edmonton Green sir. (leave your valuables at home).
