I think the reality is that it is easier to change your attitude and perspective than to change countries.
i think you'll find that it's really not.

get a visa - buy ticket - get job (maybe place this before or during getting a visa) - find somewhere to live.

changing attitude and perspective - find shrink - sit through hours of drivel costing A LOT of money - get a long with morons - find an irish girlfriend.

i just can't do it.

move to Denver CO. Mild winters...snow, but usually melts quickly, nice summers, decent city, close to the mountains.

Well, if you're considering the States, but you hate the weather you're already experiencing, that rules out about two-thirds of the U.S.. Disliking the people you're dealing with knocks out about six or seven more states. Being overcharged puts Florida, California and Nevada out of the running.

That pretty much leaves Georgia, specifically Savannah. Gorgeous city with plenty of antebellum architecture and great people.
Come to New Mexico!

New Mexico sounds nice.

1. What are your hobbies?
2. Anything you would like to try (sports)?
3. When you say you don't mind hot, how hot don't you mind?
4. When you don't mind snow, how much snow don't you mind?

Are you really a chef? I could use a chef!

Have you thought about Alaska?

if i was going to go and live in a spanish specking country it would be peru, without question.

but i need to go somewhere with a stronger currency. it would be impossible to save anything in peru.

i'd love to visit venezuela though, it looks lovely.
I would suggest Brazil and stay on the beach. It has a reputation. But if you want USA then I recommend Austin Texas. There would be great opportunities for chefs and it really is a well managed city with strong currency and nightlife.

Edit: Clue: Georgia is on the other side of the country.

i wouldn't mind some snow as long as there's a hot summer and not a lot of rain.
Oregon.

You can just about find whatever weather you want here. Not too hot, not too cold...Almost no rain in July and August....No hurricanes, no earthquakes, no tornados, no excessive humidity extremes....depends on what you want.

3. i've been in 100f+ temps and i didn't mind it so it doesn't matter how hot.
4. a little, as long as it doesn't rain all year.

Doesn't Oregon have the reputation of not wanting people to move there? It would be at the top of my list.
