Why not just move the king over one, then promote? That will avoid the ensuing run-around.
I have a funny feeling that you already knew that...

however ....
note very carefully that the player using the bishop won the tournament !!!!!
quirine was eliminated from the tournament because of this game ... where quirines knight was unable to do the job required of it ... Game 759504 while the enemy bishop was very happy and busy.

The pieces' values are relative to the position being played:
- For Open Positions, Bishops are worth more;
- For Closed Positions, Knights are worth more.

i think the best was mentioned before ...
knights work well with pawns in the centre, and not on the sides ... and bishops work well with an open centre and pawns on the wings.
bishops also are very worried about their own pawns being on the same colour as themselves ... and sometimes about the colour of the enemy pawns.
the concept of "open" and "closed" is not as clear ...

Hi everybody
I was just wondering what people's thoughts were on the bishop and knight, regarding which is the better piece.
Would I be right in assuming bishop's are worth 3 points and knights are two points?
