Let's rephrase it:

Newcomers are sometimes innocent or unsophisticated, or seem to be, because they haven't learned the ropes yet. We, the "sophisticated" veterans, sometimes assume the newbies are trolls, the reincarnation of 7ate9, or what have you, acting like fledglings and trying to rope us in. I'm saying we shouldn't always jump to conclusions. We shouldn't automatically impute evil motives. We could be wrong.

That's clearer, thanks for clarifying.

I agree too, it's hard to slip into our comunity, better to give the benefit of the doubt imo. I know from when I joined in. I don't remember anyone suspecting I was someone else but there were a few remarks that make me feel unwelcome.
