Just because he ran out of time to play a bunch of 1/0 games doesn't mean he abandoned them. Sure it was probably a mistake to enter them in hindsight, but still.
That still happens to me occasionally. Not as massive, though.

I thought of another good player who people probably dont give enough respect to - Marko Krale - If he didnt play so many games at such a high speed I am sure he could be 1900 or even higher.
I nominate my self. In every game I’ve ever played there was always at least one position where if I’d played differently I probably could have won. Also if I could only eliminate those games where I get into positions I don’t understand, or the occasional blunder, the incredibly lucky opponents I always seem to get, and didn’t have the flare up of dyspepsia or a headache that always seems to attack during the game, I would be much higher rated. And that’s not to mention I am the proud owner of a 50% score against GM’s. Yep! Had a draw with Reshevsky once. Also this past year I qualified for the US Championship. Sure did. I could have raised the $40,000 Patron Entry Fee, so I was qualified. Has to be me.

Yes. There mods keep a tight reign on what gets posted. No name calling or insults allowed. No posts on politics or religion. Here’s some recent posts: my most memorable Christmas tree, a Christmas poem, the weather, kittens, was Spock a GM, banana slugs (that was kind of interesting).
