Probably so.
Starrman is obviously not in it for the money; he's in it for the love and appreciation of music. I find that far more noble, far more pure than any commercial artist's work. Not necessarily comparing his work to theirs--- as they obviously benefit from high-paid massaging of their work--- but between crass commercialism and the little bit of Starrman's earnest and honest pieces, I'll take the latter over the former... any time.

Probably the politically correct thing for you to say. Starrman is probably good enough to make money at it. Money is what makes the world go round. You have to go out and do it of course.

I say sitting back and not making some money when you could is just plain LAZY!
We all have our opinions.

They played the half-time show at the Super Bowl. Thought they did ok, so did the other folks I watched with from the garage. Today, my radio station is SLAMMING the crap out of them.

Now they've gone as far to say they like Bruce Springsteen better...

WEEI, STOP IMMEDIATLY!~

In my honest opinion the game itself was the only thing worth the price of admission.

Halftime entertainment and the advertisements were second rate. I love Etrade Baby.

All I'm saying is that we need to look out for each other. Starrman has taken considerable risk (as has Plabby) in posting--- in a very personal manner-- their work. Making themselves much more vulnerable than either you or I, and for that, I have to show respect.

I had a dream about this last night. Believe it or not. We were all at a meet-up and I was holding back at the entrance gate: didn't want to give out my name for fear of being recognized in person, preferring to remain anonymous. Starrman has done the unthinkable in that he has named names... his own.

That, I salute.

i thought the game was too... i don't know, perfect maybe? i mean other than the intercepted td was there any other real mistakes? and other than the onside kickoff was there any really "WOW" plays?

not saying it was a bad game, it wasn't but it lacked something that the previous 2 superbowls had. almost seemed like the two best teams of the season were cancelling each other out.

plus i thought the halftime shoe was rank. but i don't like the who sooo...

Any clash of formidable opponents often results in degrees of stand-off in chess or in

professional sports. The positive countervailing tension between equals is exquisite.

The Who were exciting to watch. I'm 54 yrs old so that might have something to do with it.

It's possible to make money and still be in it for the love & appreciation of music. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make money of your talent.

My prof is in love with Springsteen and made us listen to some songs in class. Should I report him for emotional infringement?

The Who did not deliver at halftime. The game was not evenly contested. Disappointed.
