Main isn't that far away New Brunswick is next door, then Main is on the other side.
Did not see the Maple leaf until afterwards and being so close I thought perhaps you might have lived on the US side. Also never though there'd be more than one sugarloaf mtn. Interestingly on the USA side the don't pee on the floor signs in bathrooms are only in French. You French-Canuck pee on the floor a lot? Is it after drinking disgusting pear cider with Foster's? Anyway, who rips off a dumb name like sugarloaf for another squatty mtn?

My youngest just came back from a class trip to Galveston. He said they have done a terrific job of rebuilding. I hope you were not personally affected by this tragedy.

I haven't lived there since 89' but still have lots of friends there. And one of them spent the night in a tree he was washed to during the storm. Lucky to be alive...

You would be very surprised how many names are the same in the U.S.A. and in Canada.

As to who had the name first, I am sure there is paper work on that also. 😉

I was only born there. We moved away shortly after.

I heard stuff about Texas:

Is it true everything is Bigger, better, faster, etc., than anywhere else in the U.S.A.?

Only the things that matter are big: boobs, hair, beer, chili, burgers.
and better. Even Canadians, and there are quite a few, are bigger better down these here parts. Smart enough to marry Texans, too.
