So just for curiousity, how many of you from Texas would like to be in a Texas clan? Not saying I'll do this but just wondering?
How many Texas chicks we got counted up? That's the main issue.

Yeah we could talk about Texas and stuff, how do we start one, doesn't a subscriber have to? Who wants to do it?

A Real Bowl of Red

For many non-Texans, the defining trait of Texas chili is the stuff that's not in it: most notably beans, ground beef, and cheese. True Lone Star chili is a simple yet powerful thing: cubed beef chuck simmered with tomatoes and chili powder for hours before being thickened with masa harina (corn flour). The version pictured is from Woody DeSilva's winning recipe at the 1968 Terlingua, Texas, chili cook-off, now in its 43rd year.

I've lost the recipe but Ron Byrds Gringo Chili is a good one. He won one of the chili cook offs in Terlingua I believe in the mid 70's..

Ok yall. I have the club started under the name, "The Lone Star Club." I think all you have to do is let me know you want in and it's done. So lets have fun, keep it clean and make everyone wish they were from Texas.....
