I get a different bunch of kids every year or else I'd shoot myself! I am in the same room, though. I have a cupboard full of stuff for walls and bulletin boards, some of which has never seen the light of day because I don't tend to change things once they're up, no matter how good my intentions are!

Who would think that now, eh?

Erm...
And yet you'll be as brilliant and humble as your mum. We're starting a new Pre-K down the hall. You can go play there while I clean.

In an email list, an American talked about having had a new teacher every year, which sounded weird to me. Is this standard in the US? To me it sounds rather stressful both for the teachers and the students. It takes time to get to know the students, learn what strategies work best for each of them, build trust etc. And if you teach the same grade and have to follow the same curriculum every year, isn't that becoming a bit boring (although maybe you won't notice, having all the stress with the students? 😉)?

I'll start in some new kindergartens and with some new children this year. I am looking forward to it, but I am also glad I'll continue with some children I have been working with before.

we get a new teacher here every year up until 11, after that you might get the same teacher for some subjects for a couple of years in a row.

We usually got a new teacher every three years.

i guess that would be harder for the teacher, having to teach 3 years worth of work rather that just 1 each year over and over again - a little less boring but likely more work.

the new teacher each year was good if you had a teacher that you didn't like and you got to learn from a new teaching style each year but when you liked your teaching it was pretty annoying to have to change.

Bare breasts in public? Is that allowed? It should wear a bra.

For me, I had a new teacher each year K-6. Then I went to junior high school where I switched classes, but one bunch of teachers taught 7th and another bunch 8th. Then in high school you switch classes all the time. I don't think I had any teacher twice.

Now some elementary schools have students switch classes at younger and younger grades. Some places -- but it's unusual -- loop, which is having the same class two years in a row.

I only survived last year because I knew it would be only one year! I have had some classes I would've enjoyed for two years.

No, I don't do the exact same thing every year, and I don't really trust teachers who do. I try to keep learning, and so I get ideas from other people and my own experience and go with it. Also, each class has its own personality. My class with ten girls and five boys was different from my class with 4 girls and 18 boys. Also, they're different people with different special needs. Luckily I usually get a couple of years off between emotionally disturbed students.

You should eat lots of popcorn while you store up that energy! Of course, clogged arteries might not help your tennis game...

Oh, wait! I know what will make tennis even more fun! A theme song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, I have quite a bit of summer homework.

Well, I have songs that I listen to when I play tennis, but I don't know which one is my theme song.

I'd like to have an extra kidney in the refrigerator, in case I ever need a transplant. Do you think the police would believe that?
