Why

Is it that the only Forum that has a “Reminder” notation is the Debates Forum?🤔

Because it's where all the stroppy ones go to fight and collect forum bans.

Has a debate every been won? Someone will always disagree! 🙂

Debates here are never won. That's why they result in endless arguing.

Occasionally you'll hear "you have a point there", or "I never thought of it like that", but that's as close as it gets.

In Australia it's not quite so negative and can even be a compliment.

It got REALLY bad towards the end of the Duchess64 era and, I think, actually was "closed" for a day or three.

I gave up on the Debates Forum, having posted there a lot for years as a more or less left-of-centre pragmatist with a low tolerance for sloppy thinking, in about 2013 because of its self-debilitating gratuitously cantankerous atmosphere.

There was a specific inc ...[text shortened]... ent that was the final straw, I remember.

Whenever I have a look there now, it seems even worse.
