The wife said we ought to watch the new series of Will & Grace (Channel 4 UK). I don't know how many series there have been before this one but it was a bit difficult to get to grips with who was who and how they relate to each other.

Anyone out there care to give me a potted history?

It's on TV in Holland to, it's about a gay (Will) and a woman (Grace) that go trough life's troubles with their friends, also a gay and a rich woman who keeps snipping at Grace's clothes..🙂 I don't really know how it begun, but I thought that Will and Grace had a relationship and Will found out that he was gay! So they decided to be friends for life.

So what's the relationship between Will and the other gay guy? Are they an item?

And what do they all do for a living?

Sounds terrible to me.
Did anyone see that sit-com 'Gimme Gimme Gimme'?
The gay guy in there was about as stereotyped as John Inman in 'Are You Being Served'. I would have thought things had moved on since the 70's but apparently not.

Will knew he was gay back in high school. Him and Grace have been friends for years. The whole show is based upon how gay men make the best friends for straight women. It is pretty funny. Jack makes the show.

Nope, just friends.

Will is an attorney. Gene Wilder plays his boss in later episodes. (Very funny)

Jack is an aspiring actor/department store clerk

Grace is an interior designer (I think)

The other woman (name is escaping me) is a social alcoholic/gold digger/social butterfly.

Any other questions?

Andrew, you should be ashamed! Trying to watch american trash tv. Do like me... i'm really into "Good Neighbours" right now. (notice the attempt at Brit spelling there) and my favorite tv of all time is one we get on the discovery channel now ... "Junkyard Wars" Bodgers Rule! For some reason, you Brits just make better tv than the madison avenue clowns. Long Live Brit TV! oh... Ps. Disney (which makes most of the "Will And Grace" type trash) only have one agenda. There is one show, "The Wiggles" on the disney channel that features four 20 something gay guys whose audience is 3 to 5 year old children! They "sing and dance" ... sort of... anyway. Be warned. Anything Disney will make you wish you were gay, even if you are not.:'(😲😀

isn't the otehr woman grace's assistant, with extremely rich parents? (there was one episode where she showed grace all her pay checks-apparently she likes collecting them...😛)

May I suggest Monster Garage? Very good show if you like cars/motorcycles and like to work on them.

Yes, she is her assistant. I don't know if the parents are rich, but the ex-husband was/is.

Thanks folks! I will now admit that my favourite American programme has got to be 'Malcolm in the Middle'... there's just something about it that really makes me laugh. Also, because even the Americans can't hold back the ageing process, shows like that have a limited life. The Wonder Years was brilliant as well.

no, they have a deal that she'll not do any work so long as she does not cash any of her paychecks.

therefore, she does no work and gets no pay basically.
