I think the alarmists have thrown global warming under a bus for two reasons: 1. there isn't any and 2. no one believes it anyway. The latest hobgoblin is "species extinction". Yawn!

Global warming was a bad choice of words. Climate Change would have been much better to keep idiots like you from not realizing what is going on.

Good news is Humans can NOT destroy the Earth, just themselves. Once we're gone the Earth will get back into its normal grove.

That's because the warmists changed their tune when it became obvious there wasn't any globull warming to be had. The focus changed to "climate change" to allow for temperatures going either way... a dollar each way, they can't lose. But it was the globull warming scam that kicked it all off in the first place. They just tend to play that bit down now that temperatures are clearly going the 'wrong' way as far as they are concerned, ie., downward. And since "climate change" is also wearing thin, it's now all about "sustainability" and "species extinction".

Call it what you want. There are many people out there seeking change. Our resources are not unlimited and if we run out of basic stuff who do you think has the seeds to grow more food?

I am a person living below the poverty line in my country and I am appalled at how much waste there is.

Remember the "Boy who cried wolf" ? What happens in that ? The wolf eventually comes.

It's not about global warming or whatever, it's about our need for change. And sustainability is an important issue.
All recycling programs should be commended and funded properly.
I'm sure the US military could spare a few hundred million, eh?

Again, you do the math and the research. I think you will find that there is a genuine need for change, and I am still a firm believer in quantum technology (amongst other things) helping us live humanely well into the future , and not just into the next presidential term.

So if it's about waste and wealth and resources, why not be upfront about it? Why cloud that separate issue with the other nonsense about global warming? If it's about waste and resources, why are so many citizens paying a 'carbon' tax? These other issues of "sustainability" rode into town on the back of the global warming bandwagon/religion and it's on that basis too that various countries have inflicted a 'carbon' tax on their citizens.

Yes the "Boy who cried wolf" is very apt. The warmists (like Al Gore, James Hansen, Pachauri and many others similarly inclined) keep banging on about 'catastrophic manmade global warming' while Nature ignores them and does what it likes. The danger now is that all the suckers, including the politicians wanting to be seen to be "saving the planet" are preparing for global warming when they should be preparing for precisely the opposite! Keep an eye on solar activity and the coming winter because you might be in for yet another shocker. And forget this so-called 'catastrophic manmade global warming' nonsense. Carbon dioxide is WONDERFUL stuff so I'm increasing my carbon footprint to help the plants grow.
