I reckon men AND women should be banned from using them!
I would not be able to function with out my Tahoe!
Seriously, I can load the kids, husband, dog, sleeping bags and cooler, and hook the camper up to the back and head out of town. No problem, I can even hook up all 4 bikes for the ride.
No way I could do that with a car.

Every time I see an SUV or van taking two parking spaces - which is quite often - I have a tremendous urge to slash some tires. However I have some self control, and wouldn't punish myself for others' crappy attitudes unlike chancremechanic for example.

Mind you, I'd still feel safer if it was a bloke driving. 😉
What I hate is driving past, or at least trying to drive past schools in the morning with all the SUVs parked in a ridiculous manner by mothers taking their kids to school. Same in the afternoon. 😞
Originally posted by NordlysI clicked the link, saw the title, and didn't bother to read that crap. Studies on this topic tend to contradict. My female health teacher threw out stats about men having 1. higher insurance rates and 2.more accidents. But she didn't really have an answer when I asked if these stats took into account the fact that men drive more often then women (Generally referring to married couples). Women can't drive, it's been proven by all of the stupid soccer mom idiots on their cell phones that I'm forced to drive behind (At 10 under the speed limit.).
Why? You should be more worried if it was a bloke driving. http://www.sirc.org/publik/driving_risk.shtml
Strangelove - yeah I hate SUVs in general, but it's even worse when women are driving them. I generally drive a Civic (or a couple of other small cars/sports cars) and everytime I fill the tank I get a little chuckle at the $25 it costs to fill up, compared to the $75+ that you idiots pay. Of course, if it weren't for the SUVs I'd only be paying $15.
Jerks.
Noodle - I checked out the article, couldn't stomach reading all of it though. Peter Marsh spews out plenty of BS in so few words. I agree though, men are more agressive and break more laws, I know I do. I speed whenever I can (7-10 over or higher if I'm sure I won't get a ticket) and I've intentionally run stop signs when it's obvious that no other cars are there - a rare circumstance though. However, despite having driven for about a year and a half, and driving about every day, I have 0 tickets and have been in 0 accidents. Reckless driving isn't the problem - it's stupid driving. I may speed, but I don't talk on the phone while I'm doing it. I may drive dangerously, but I focus while I'm driving. Women just can't.
