My mom never nagged, never gave advice, never had heart to heart talks because she was too busy seeing to her daily tasks of making my dad happy, keeping delicious meals on the table, keeping the house clean and hospitable. What she did do was set a good example. She respected us and trusted us. I guess we just never wanted to disappoint her. (Her four daughters).

Actually I think I was to open with d4. That's unfamiliar to me. However I have to say that your reply of b6 leaves me open to play 2.c4. At this point your resistance shall be as the chaff which the wind driveth away etc etc.

I feel a little guilty about not mentioning this to Carterson. Not to mention it now would be doubly disingenuous. Quite happy to play something odd if you prefer. I like to give the elderly a sporting chance 😉

You're on my buddy list so you can override my game limit. Would still prefer 7/7 or longer if you can stretch to it. Will go to 3/7 if you really prefer it. What can I say... sucker for a famous name in my inbox 🙂
