The bookies excist to make money ... out of you! Never trust the bookies as they are always wrong.
I haven't seen England play one decent match since the EC in 2004 and the match against Argentina? It was a friendly match.
As far as you listen to the media about the Dutch team ... I really have no clue what you are talking about. The team is solid, ...[text shortened]... ive at all.
But as they say ... we will see at the tournament. Holidays in Germany this year.
Yes, the other teams are good, but England have the ability there to win the thing.

On paper, england have a superb team, it all depends if they turn up and play together properly.
OH! and paraguay really arent very good, i dont get why everyone is saying they could be tough. There were harder teams out there.
Originally posted by trevor33I've seen their results, and do follow match reports etcerera. Ivory Coast, Equador and Australia were all teams I think England are glad to have avoided. I'd say paraguay is the 4th best team from that seeding pool.

How many better teams do you want?
The Netherlands
Czech Republic
Spain
Italy
Portugal
Germany
England doesn't stand a chance in this World Cup. With Paraguay and Sweden in Group B it will be difficult enough to get to the second round.
Likely winners :
Brazil, England, Italy.
Maybes :
Holland, Germany.
Slim chance :
Argentina, France.
All IMHO of course 🙂
As for your comment about the bookies always getting it wrong - The only bookies in that category are the ones no longer in business.

Top 8 Seeds
Brazil - 64
England - 51
Spain - 50
Germany - 48
Mexico - 47
France - 46
Argentina - 44
Italy - 44
That's a big gap between Brazil and the rest.

How on earth can England and the US have a higher seeding than say the Netherlands?
I don't get that at all.
Originally posted by Daemon SinIt did occur to me that as long as Mexico keeps getting easy World Cup groups, it will keep its seeding. That seems to be one of the ones that the countries who missed out on a seeding aren't happy about. And BEING seeded helps you get easier opponents, so it has the potential to be self-perpetuating.
Past perfomances...

England is potentially the best European country,
The best thing about these championships is that (IMO) every country has a real chance to win the tournament. Therefore it's hard to make any predictions. The only thing that's pretty sure is that Brasil will go to the next round.
