oh yeah...and i think the home team is going to take it again...just like france. germany doesn't have the strongest team but with the home field advantage i think they're the best bet. Brazil is again a lot more hype than they deserve and the U.S. is well organized but doesn't have the skill behind the ball to take. I really like france but I'm not to farmiliar with their team this year.

I'd prefer a weekend at the Paris Hilton, to be honest...

Ladbrokes.com bet today:

Brazil 11/4 England 6/1 Argentina 7/1 Germany 7/1 Italy 8/1 Holland 10/1 France 12/1 Spain 12/1 Portugal 20/1 Czech Republic 33/1 Sweden 33/1 Mexico 40/1 Croatia 50/1 Ukraine 50/1 Ivory Coast 66/1 Serbia and Montenegro 66/1 Paraguay 80/1 Poland 80/1 USA 80/1 Switzerland 100/1 Australia 125/1 Ecuador 125/1 Japan 150/1 Korea Republic 150/1 Tunisia 200/1 Ghana 250/1 Iran 250/1 Costa Rica 350/1 Togo 350/1 Angola 500/1 Saudi Arabia 500/1 Trinidad and Tobago 750/1

At these odds 80/1 for the US looks quite tempting. 100/1 on Australia would be another outsider to consider.

The Aussies got a chance. Not a really tough group, could easily come second in the first stage then who knows...

England fought hard to beat Uruabuy which Australia defeated to get into the world cup. I really dont think England will win.

I do think Italy will win though. They have a very very potent attack and still have one of the worlds best defence.

Oh, the conditions of the field were awful... I understand if Mourinho screws the field intentionally before the CL match against Barcelona -it's Champions League anyway and everything goes.

But a friendly match in those conditions? And it's not like Russians don't know how it goes -they had St. Petersburg to play. Shameful. Yeah, it was an ok game but it could have been better. And Ronlando's goal was with a hand.😠

you may be better to back Italy on the New Zealand tote as you'll get half your winnings again for free. something like that anyway. put a dollar on here you get $12 . 8/1 is that like a dollar on then $8 plus the original dollar back?

Oh, great! Thanks, mate!

Look where MX is!!! AAaaauuuhhhh... yeah, baby! We're going to kick some butt! 😵

(inhale - exhale)

Ok, however, to be sincere--- don't bet on MX. We'll make it to the semifinals and that will be the team's greatest achievement just after winning the Fifa World Cup Sub-17. But no more.

My money will go for Argentina -All you need is to check how Messi is playing with Barcelona FC. He may be the true succesor of Maradona -and his chance to prove it's Germany 06. Argentina always has a decent team play; their problem is that (as Latinamericans 😞) they need someone to lead... Messi can be that leader, balancing with Veron in the back midfield.

Croatia at 50/1 would be where my money goes..

They've been looking very strong in the friendlies.

Yep. Although Spain at 12/1 looks the best bet among the favourites.

Surely it's time they did something in a major championship?

Croatia at $80 looks a far better selection to me.

....if there were two different teams, where only one of the two could make it through to the next round and we found two differing odds around the world. if you back one on one tote and one on another you may find it is a definite winning bet ? you would have to bet big, and the only risk would be that the odds would change before you got your bets on.

Spain... mmmh... Spain is always looking good in numbers and "la Liga" offers the world's greatest football.

However, somehow the Spaniard cousins always dissapoint in World Cup... guess they passed that fatality "virus" to Latin America.😞

P.S. Specially if they take Raul to Germany... rather stick to Fernando Torres or innovate with Soldado -pretty decent chap.
