Spain... mmmh... Spain is always looking good in numbers and "la Liga" offers the world's greatest football.
However, somehow the Spaniard cousins always dissapoint in World Cup... guess they passed that fatality "virus" to Latin America.😞
P.S. Specially if they take Raul to Germany... rather stick to Fernando Torres or innovate with Soldado -pretty decent chap.

That Hispanic tendency to drama, I guess. :'(
My ideal team would include Reyes and Torres, anyway.

Football. It boils more enthusiasm than the rising of a new pope, more exciting than a weekend with Paris Hilton... and Germany 06 it's months away! Life gets prettier every 4 years.
😀
What do you think about the friendly matches held today. That 4-1 to Germany is way sad 😞
My thoughts: a 3 - 0 against the Swedes.. I'm a happy man. Would be happier still if Ireland were actually going to the World Cup, but looking forward to facing Germany, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Wales in the Euro qualifiers.
Otherwise, it's Togo all the way (hence my flag supporting my team of choice for this Tourny!)
Originally posted by jareyesSt. Petersburgh is no better than Moscow weatherwise. The Brazilians got $1.5 mil for playing Russia and Roman Abramovitch, reportedly, payed the bill. Of course, they should've played at some later time, but I guess it's not easy to bring all Brazilians together. It was their last game as a team before World Cup... Still think they'll win it all. They are supremely confident. England didn't impress me against Uruguay (although Lampard would make a difference).
Oh, the conditions of the field were awful... I understand if Mourinho screws the field intentionally before the CL match against Barcelona -it's Champions League anyway and everything goes.
But a friendly match in those conditions? And it's not like Russians don't know how it goes -they had St. Petersburg to play. Shameful. Yeah, it was an ok game but it could have been better. And Ronlando's goal was with a hand.😠

So far I've seen Estonians following with great interest the Premier League and in the bar the football fans gather to watch the matches I saw great enthusiasm towards England, so... 🙂
My advice: outside bet on Togo to lift the world cup. Long-term outside bet on Ireland for the 2008 European Championship... And then you will be able to retire early, a happy fellow.

However, Estonia has suffered invaders and marauders from Sweden, Russia, Germany, Denmark and Poland.🙁

Oh, Lampard can really make a difference. What would be your World Cup 'dream team'?

But I like talented players. They may not always play their best, but they have the ability to win matches almost on their own.
Brazilian Ronaldo was my favorite player since I saw him. I know he's not as popular these days, but I once saw a collection of his best goals over the years and it's awesome... Henry is also a pure talent, probably, a genius... Ronaldinho is a flashy player, extreme talent... Lampard, not very flashy, but a different kind of talent - makes the most of every situation, almost always finds the best continuation...Rooney is a dangerous player... Adriano reminds me Ronaldo, also very good.

Makelele, for example, was the one supporting Real Madrid on his back all the time. But, hey no, they wanted 'galactics' who sell a lot of jersey... well, there you go: 3 years without sunshine and counting.
Nuts! (and in the meanwhile Barcelona is taking all the *$%& titles)

Truly, Lampard always finds the best continuation. Oddly enough, the best continuation often seems to involve firing a shot into the crowd.
And Rooney is a dangerous player.. Indeed, no enemy gonad is safe while he's on the pitch.
