Ireland crash out.
Just watched the game. End-to-end stuff, the Swiss were close to scoring, but Ireland couldn't create much. No leprechauns this time.
Kerr has to go as he is obviously tactically clueless.

Don't worry.
All you Scots, Welsh, NIrish and Irish can still support England, I don't see what the problem is?
scotland aren't going to germany because of our dreadful home form, only 1 win, yet our away performances have been on the whole superb. beating slovenia 3-0 over there was a great result.
i think scotland are growing as a team, whcih should augur well for the euro qualifiers.

I made the mistake last time of congratulating the English on their rugby world cup, as I thought it was good for the game in the Northern Hemisphere, and in general. But my God were you unbearable afterwards. You only packed in the smarmy cockiness when our boys beat you silly in Twickenham.
But what I try to forget is how the English always think that they're going to bring home the bacon- again, like the breeze the six nations was supposed to be after the world cup, or in this case, you really think it's likely you'll win.
Well, if you do, go and put your money where your mouths are down at William Hill! I honestly have to say I could ever cheer for that team because of the quality of the shaven-headed supporters singing 'Goood saaaav ouuur Queeeen!'. Eitherway, despite what impartial Sven might think, I don't think you have 10 of the top 50 players in the world, nor a very good team, nor a very good chance of winning.
Why can't you just say- it'd be nice to be in the last four? Is there a word in your language resembling 'humility'? I'd say quarters would be about right.
Anyway, don't mind me. i'm having a bad day, understandably enough. :'(:'(:'(
But good luck to England, anyway.
And here's to seeing the Scots and the Irish in the Euros, where we might find ourselves in a couple of years. And if we're not there, it'll be up to you to fly the Celtic flag, and humiliate the sasanach should the opportunity arise!
