Worst or best excuse

What is your worst or best reason for not getting something done, or being late?

My train was late this morning and the reason why...... "Sorry your train was late...this is due to slippery rails"....honestly guv I kid you not !! (I added the last bit in about guv)

I always blame it on my dog. say he was sick or got out of the yard and I had to go get him or something.
