JMHO - 98% of TV commercials are stupid - and I really don't mind stupid, but phony and stupid are the worst.
Example: People dancing. No one does this is real life when they think about a product or service, and the people doing it on TV are usually embarrassed to be doing it. Note to advertisers...If you DON'T want me to buy your product or service, go ahead and keep showing these idiots dancing, and I'll be happy to turn the channel to something else, hit the mute button, and make it a point NOT to buy what your selling. 🙄
@mchill saidThe idea of TV commercials is to get your attention, which they did. You’re just not in the demographic of their buyers, in this instance.

It’s why the TV commercial’s volume is always higher, why they use people with over-accentuated regional accents, diversity actors with striking clothes and hair styles, silly dancers, cute animals, lurid primary colours and irritating jingles.
@mchill saidThis reminds me of a friend of a friend who refused to drink/buy Budweiser beer because, as he says, "Clydesdale horses don't exist. It's a marketing scam."

Dancing in a commercial is more likely to catch my attention if the TV is on and I'm just wandering nearby, not really engaged with it. I wanna know why they are dancing and are they having fun. You don't sound like a very spontaneous person to me.
@suzianne saidPerhaps he/she’s afraid of combusting?🤔

Best Ad ever.
Horrible beer.
The beer is like water flavoured with an essence of beer.

That's true, I'm not. When it comes to advertising, I respond much better to fact-based info. or to humor. Watching a bunch of people dancing around over a product they wouldn't normally accept even if it were given to them for free is both dishonest and stupid.
@cliff-mashburn saidBecause this is the 21st century.
Half the TV commercials today push some kind of miscegenation. Whose agenda is that and why is it all over the TV/Movies/Advertisements everywhere?
@Cliff-Mashburn
I've been in a mixed marriage for ,45 years and counting. It's been good to me.
