Does anyone know whether the vast majority of XP freeware is compatible with Vista freeware?

The majority of anything that works on XP will work on Vista. There are a few dodgy programs, but I have all sort of things running - DOS emulator, NES emulator, SNES emulator, I've installed loads of hardware that has no Vista specific drivers - it all works.
