@MartinS saidSorry that I answered the way that I did up there in the second post.
Why would I be happy
It was a genuine question.
I googled archon and Arkturos
The results were interesting
Sometimes I skip a few steps and don't "show my work" (as some math teachers have scolded me in my youth).
I don't think any kind of "hazing" should be part of welcoming someone who wants to post in General, but we do have some characters here, some of them perhaps self-important because of their site-seniority, and some who are probably just wrong in the head somehow -- but if one were to notice that and say such a thing out loud (especially about one particular member or another), that would probably be a bannable offense.
Executive summary: the appearance of hazing might be inadvertent, but no less deplorable.
@Arkturos saidNo problem my friend

There is an expression I learned many years ago which seems to apply to certain posters here.
"They are to be more pitied than scorned"

Well it doesn't actually mean they're online, just moved in the last 10 minutes I believe. You can be online without a dot but just not moving. Like me now.
I think it's a redundant feature myself. Just click on a profile and you'll see the exact time of the last move. If it's important.

She likes to play the entitled victim. In her mind all men are a$$hats.

Where is human nature so weak as in the bookstore?
~ Henry Ward Beecher
US abolitionist & clergyman (1813 - 1887)
dear henry,
in yer lifetime you saw many thingies
but
you never experienced the odious nature of the internet
in a bookstore we relish understanding someone else's thoughts
when connecting to the internet humans demand that others listen to our own thoughts
humans are weak
and the incorrigible selfishness grows
