@MartinS saidparanoia is a real handicap for some folks
Just curious; why would you want to hide the fact you are on-line and making moves by turning it off?
i check my mailbox daily for signs of tampering and surveillance
the "GOVERNMENT" keeps three (perhaps four) drones over my lil tin shack to assure my compliance with the telepathic edicts
the lil rhp "recently moved" indicator light is mostly benign, but archived data may lead to surprises as to exactly whom owns whom
check all knights, bishops, and pawns for fingerprints
leave not a trace
they're at the door
@Ponderable saidPondy,
Some people are very impatient and even go as far as to message people they see online wh they are not moving in their games...
Some people actually need reminding!!! 😉

@MartinS saidWell it doesn't actually mean they're online, just moved in the last 10 minutes I believe. You can be online without a dot but just not moving. Like me now.

I think it's a redundant feature myself. Just click on a profile and you'll see the exact time of the last move. If it's important.
@Suzianne saidJunior, you seem to presume a lot, and often. 😉
You're a guy, I presume.
You have no idea.
And it is green, not yellow.
It's quite possible that @MartinS uses a redshifter such as "Night Light" or sct/xsct on his computer -- which would of course color-shift the green indicator to more of a yellowish appearance. And maybe some eyeglass lens coatings could have a similar color-shifting effect.
Ideas happen, whether we sweep them away or not.
I wonder whether life and ideation might be inherent rather than emergent properties of the Cosmos, but I have no way to test either hypothesis with an appropriate number of controls.
Admittedly I was first off the bat in this thread with a response that I regret, but have you ever considered trying to get along with other people? If it doesn't come naturally, maybe it could be learned through observation?
(I think I might have just done myself in, Trev. Well, in that case you called it after all. Kudos to you, and see you after the break. 😉 )
@Arkturos saidI get along great with people who don't say stupid stuff to my face.

And yeah, telling me I presume is pretty rich. People are what they are. Stupid is not that hard to suss out. I was here long before the stupid people came to Debates.

My gender is unimportant

"No, I don't have any idea, that is why I asked the question in the first place.

You NEVER start a sentence with and

@MartinS saidA woman never would have asked the question for rather obvious reasons.

Plus, she wouldn't be colorblind.

I find your post confusing as well as offensive;
firstly, why would a woman not be colour blind
secondly; colour blindness is a disability which you seem you be mocking
