Ask the man working in gym. He will give you far better advice then a bunch of physicaly crippled chess players. Fintess magazine helps too. At least I did so.

I lifted 110 kg but not as part of some serial lifting of course, just once to see how much I can lift.

Hence, you are not a physicaly crippled chess player?

Oh, can I have your phone number?

You could before but since you've changed your profession from cucumber planter to doctor (and one of a kind doctor), I am a bit scared 😲

Thats over 240 lbs. I think you would be the RHP champ if the others gave their honest replies.

Well I have 100kg and almost two meters. I couldn't practice even with 60 kilos without problems. But when you are warmed up and just give it a try and lift it once after you go to gym 2 years, that is nothing spectacular. Champs can lift far more than that (look at the Olympic games, people who weight 80 kg lift 350 kg. Of course that is not the same discipline but you got my point.)

Yes 240 lb bench press is a manly amount, not too many people can do that.

Pump yourself full of steroids... when you can't bend your arms and legs it's time to stop. As a bonus you'll probably pick up a few Olympic medals in four years time... but don't bank on being around in five years time.

Take to haunting one of those open-air chessboards with big pieces. Have your own set moulded from lead and always insist on playing with your own pieces. Mental and physical vitality will soon follow.
