You know when you've been playing too much chess.

Went out to dinner this evening at a pub. Had to get up to get the salt & pepper. Each was a wooden container, and one had a silver knob on the top. I put them down on the table and at that point, I would normally have wondered which was salt and which was pepper. But instead, I looked at them and wondered which was King and which was Queen! Then I knew I'd been playing too much Chess - LOL

You know you've been playing too much chess when you go on a rant about something and your girlfriend sarcasticly calls you by your site handle (And she doesn't play chess ! ).

Reminds me of a time when a friend of mine had this game on a Sega. Different coloured blobs floated down. At the time i was busking in a subway in Bury and it had Blaaaaaaahhhh. Sorry. I give up.

I once heard of a chessplayer who, whilst playing a game in a cafe and finding himself in a lost position, managed to castle with the salt cellar from the tray of a passing waiter.
