Well technically you sign a contract/agreement when you register so you've got to be the legal age to sign a contract but I don't know what that is. Assumably it's 13 years old.
Last year I played a third grader (as well as his brothers) and I know that two of my students from last year registered but I don't know their screen names. I'm guessing their parents registered them.

Actually it is my wife that is signed up and I am pretty sure she is over 13. She just allows my son to use her sign on to play games with me and my brother. Let a 5 year old free on a site like this? Are you crazy? I have been here long enough ( a week) to know there are a bunch of crazies around here...but maybe a couple that are OK.

The minimum age to register on this site is 13 so your pretty much guaranteed not to find any similar aged opponents for him. However, if you'll settle for a mental age of 5 then it's like shooting fish in a barrel here...
