I think you are right to differentiate between a short coming and a flaw. All human beings are riddled with short comings, my own being an inclination to procrastinate and put things off to the last possible moment. I've learned to work with this, knowing my own nature when it comes to deadlines. A flaw (or a fault) is not so easy to adapt around or conceal.

It's a good thing that you feel you are happier now than you might have been if yiou had opted for doing what other people expected of you. But if you don't mind me saying so, you come across as one of the least happy regular posters at RHP. In fact, you seem to me to be deeply unhappy.

Thinking is way more fun than memorising, but you're doing well if you find a way of getting by on thinking alone. Maybe that is the fun of bluffing. Thinking on your feet to imply that you have more than you do. I remember wishing there had even been a thread of logic in the naming of branches of arteries. Thinking on your feet and bluff just won't get you through an anatomy exam. 😁
